new last name - the little things.

you know when people say, "it's the little things"?! as cliche as it may be, i completely agree.. i love thinking about all of the little details. i love collaborating with friends and family to come up with new ideas. i love figuring out ways to make those ideas come to life. sometimes it works. sometimes it fails.

not all of the details were captured on film, but here is a look at some of the goodness:

kellyn over at k bakes (also a bridesmaid) made several yummies for us. flavored marshmallows for the s'mores bar (pictured above), authentic whoopie pies for the dessert table (pictures to follow) AND this beauty.. the wedding cake! 

when i brought over two cans of cake spray paint, she got pretty nervous. from the start, there was no pressure, i just thought they were neat and might be worth playing around with.

in my mind: "one gold, one silver, endless possibilities."
in her mind: "she is the bride, but is she insane?!?"

well, just moments before the wedding, she decided to go for it.. and it ended up looking perfect! nice work, kellyn. as always.

if you know me at all, you know that i looooove dessert. my hope for the wedding dessert table was to share several choices of fun fall treats. cookies, pies, whoopie pies, cobbler, cake and even some late night popsicles! along with kellyn's yummies, both of our families chipped in and it was perfect.

thinking back, there were plenty of ideas that never happened. at the same time, some happened and then got abandoned. such is life. all in all, the day was perfect!
